This 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo is a rest-of-world coupe that is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six linked with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Ice Green Metallic over black leather. Modifications include RSR-style bumpers, 17″ OZ Racing wheels, MSD programmable ignition, a TiAL wastegate, a front-mount oil cooler, Web Cam camshafts, a 930S steering wheel, an aftermarket CD stereo, and stainless-steel headers. The car was acquired by the seller in September 2011, and the battery and valve cover gaskets were replaced in April 2024.
The car is finished in Ice Green Metallic and was repainted and fitted with RSR-style bumpers around 2006. Features include a sunroof, dual side mirrors, rear fender stone guards, and a “whale tail” rear spoiler. The seller states that the driver’s door is sagging and notes rust-through near the battery, bubbling around the rear of the roof, various dents and scratches, and chips in the passenger-window glass. The rear windshield wiper and fog lights have been removed, and there are intermittent electrical issues with the lights and windows.
The 17″ OZ Racing forged alloy wheels are mounted with Nitto NT555 tires measuring 225/45 up front and 275/40 out back. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel ventilated discs. A front strut tower brace has been added.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Interior features include an aftermarket CD stereo, Kenwood speakers, power windows, and aluminum pedals and floorboards. The air conditioning and heating systems have been removed and there are tears on the driver’s seat.
The three-spoke 930S steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 9,500 of which were added under current ownership. The odometer was repaired in 2018, and total mileage is unknown.
The turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six was factory rated at 260 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque for the rest-of-world market. The engine was rebuilt and a front-mount oil cooler was installed in 1999. An MSD 6AL digital ignition controller was installed in 2012, and the seller states that 911S-style Web Cam camshafts and reconditioned rockers were installed in 2018. The rear oil cooler and oil lines were replaced in 2023, and the valve cover gaskets and battery replaced in April 2024. Results from a leak-down test taken at that time are provided on an invoice in the gallery.
